[Gotek] IPF to HFE Conversion Problem
[Gotek] IPF to HFE Conversion Problem
I am using the Gotek with v3.0.3.1a in an Amiga 500.
I have converted some Amiga IPF files to HFE. Somehow the converted HFE files are not working right at all.
For example Rick Dangerous 2 (Europe):
There is a level selecting screen in the game. Choosing a different level than one ends in loading problems. Or after finishing level 1 the level selecting screen is showing again.
I am using the default HXCSDFE.CFG.

Not a surprise ! You will have to wait for the HFE format rev 2 support
Re: [Gotek] IPF to HFE Conversion Problem
One question i have here, but for normal HxC-hardware not Gotek.
For adf`s it is recommended to try the image first with normal hfe format and only when this dont work, to use "hfe rev 2".
How is it for ipf`s? Is there also recommended to try first normal hfe or is here "hfe rev 2" the best for the most images?

Re: [Gotek] IPF to HFE Conversion Problem
Do I have to switch the HFE file Interfacemode from Auto to Amiga before conversion?
Re: [Gotek] IPF to HFE Conversion Problem

Re: [Gotek] IPF to HFE Conversion Problem
So I need to use HFE rev2 for IPF when I batch conevert, also for Gotek drive? What CAPSimg.dll do I use? The latest form the Softpres website is 5.1 (32 or 64bit?)
Can there anything be done to use it the IPF format natively, for example by using the Amiga version of CAPSImg?

Re: [Gotek] IPF to HFE Conversion Problem
HFE v2 is currently not supported by the Gotek on Amiga, I think.
Re: [Gotek] IPF to HFE Conversion Problem
Is there already any news in HFE v2 support?
