I can not say exactly, but the chances are good that it works.

Can you send me some images of 440 discs (Downloadlink or Email)? So I can try if I can read them on my P2k, and if that works the format is the same an it should also work on the 440.

Ohterwise, you can send the image to Jeff and ask him kindly to check the format.

I did some research on the www and the disk format is the same.
There are some information the sudio 440 can't use but this is in regard to the design differences between the P2k and the 440.

Im new to this but it sounds interesting.
How does it work ?
Can i buy one and install it and expect to be able to save samples to an SD card straight away ?
Or do i have to do something first ?
Ive read all the information and seen the videos, but there seems to be little information about the Prophet 2002.

Please reply, i need to replace the failing floppy drive in this machine, and this looks like the perfect solution.

Just dump/read your floppy disk or convert floppy disk image with the hxc software and copy the hfe floppy disk image to the sdcard.

What i was hoping to do was use the SD card as a replacement floppy drive.
For example, make new samples with the Prophet Sampler and save them from the Prophets RAM to the SD card, just like i would with a floppy.
Is that possible ?

From what your saying, i understand that i can backup my existing library by backing up the floppys as an IMG and transferring them to the SD card, but i want to actually save directly to the SD Card via the Prophet Sampler.
For example, is it possible to use the format function, and save function on the Prophet in order to save patches/sounds.
Without having to use a PC.

Is this possible ?
Im a little confused about the possibilities.

Yes of course you can save on the img file.

Unzip SDHxCFE_Prophet2000.rar on a FAT32 formatted SDCard.

Thanks this is great, the image you uploaded allowed me to boot up the sampler with the sd card/floppy emulator.
What i cannot work out it how to save anything to the sd card, how do i do this ?
I have tried to save my samples to one of the Empty Disk slots but it shows us "unformatted disk (fd)"
when i go to format the disk it goes to FO on the sampler display.
Putting it simply, i cannot save anything i have done.

Again, help on this would be really appreciated.

Hi jeff,
i changed the SD card and it now saves and writes.
The only question i have now is:

There are 99 empty disk images on the sd card from the image you posted on here...
is it possible to add more ?
And if so, how do i do it ?

I hope these dont sound like silly questions, im learning how it works slowly but surely.
I do have to say though, im delighted with the product, its fantastic :):)

Thanks for your feedback, i have updated the "QuickInstall" package:

Can you check that all is ok for the prophet 2000/2002 ?

About the image number, there are no real limitation (the only limitation is the sdcard size used. example : with a 2GB SD you can put ~1000 disk images).
Can just duplicate the files images as you want.
