Files in numerical order?

Post by spmac »

Hi all,

OK i've been using the following file management system for a few years with no issues but all of a sudden my disc images are not scrolling in order on my HxC screen

001_Track_Name.hfe
002_Track_Name.hfe
003_Track_Name.hfe
004_Track_Name.hfe
005_Track_Name.hfe
Etc, etc

All of a sudden the latest disc images arn't showing in numerical order.

Any ideas whats up?

use a fat sorter software to order the files.

Thanks for getting back to me Jeff.

OK I downloaded that but I have no idea how to open it?

It contains the following files -

COPYING - doc
fat_file_system_tree.xsd
yafs - UNIX

Mac OS X.

Think I've sorted it though.

Re-formated my SD cards to FAT then put my back ups back on them

All seems to be working as before.

So not sure what happened.

Hi SP1200 gang!
i am new to Gotek , just installed it into my good ol' SP1200 ( black 1997 reissue)

at the moment my Disk images on the Gotek display appear as
DSKA0000000
00/099 T:67.0
DSKA0001
001/099
etc, etc

SP loads last image ive been working on and its fine i like it that way .

At the moment I am writing the name of the beat and corresponding image number into my notebook for archive housekeeping ;)

Question 1:

How do i rename HFE disk images to have Beat names and numbers?
what naming convention to use and naming order to not mess up the order and operation of the images ?
sorry for a maybe silly question ;)

Question 2:

Would loading USB CF disk on MAM OSX and renaming HFE images ( MAC leaving Spotlight junk on CF ) mess up my SP1200?

thanks in advance
peace

First try to update the firmware :

https://hxc2001.com/download/floppy_dri ... rmware.zip

if you don't have the right bootloader :
