How to switch images with file selector for windows

Hi,
I have the HXC SD Rev. C Firmware: 1.8.2.40
I'm trying hard to figure out on how to switch images wihout using the buttons on the PCB.
The emulator is connected to my Windows XP machine.
The software HXCFEMGR.exe is working but very confusing.
For example:
Why is an USB Stick required (/disk:##), when the emulator has an SD card on board ?
What is the usage of the slots ?
Regardless what image I selected (with F8,F9 or F10), it has no effect to the emulator.

Can anyone help ?

The windows HXCFEMGR.exe software doesn't control the hxc emulator. The purpose is to edit the sdcard/usb stick slots configuration.
The slot mode was designed for emulator without lcd screen.

It would be great to step through the code in VS6.

Under windows you need to develop a driver to control / access the machine/pc floppy disk drive controller.
