Thomson *.fd single sided

Post by gilles »

When selecting a single sided *.fd image with a gotek (tested firmwares 3.1.23.1A and 3.1.31.1A) the image is loaded but Err is displayed (on the 7 segment screen).

size of tested image is 327680 bytes
(I took this image http://dcmoto.free.fr/programmes/3dfigh ... _to8fd.zip and 2 or 3 more)

HFE works correctly in the same unit for thomson (I'm porting the AUTOBOOT.HFE to TO9)

System type is on AUTO

Tried and the file is working perfectly here. I suppose that you are using your file selector? The file extension in the cfg file need to be padded with space characters (0x20) when its length is less than 3 characters.

I'm using the fileselector and the 8.3 entry should be an exact copy of the 8.3 entry in the VFAT entry but I'm checking exactly what I have here.

padding seems correct in the 8.3 part:

000004a0 61 70 74 65 73 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 |aptes...........|
000004b0 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 |................|
but Size is probably not
I'm checking if it is my problem here.

Yep, it was my problem.
I have only small size for name (8.3 + long filename) and address of 1st cluster so I did not store the size in the slot (I used a fixed value for HFE).
I now use 3 char that were in the long filename to store the size (16Mb max will be enough for floppy images).

FD are now loaded correctly in fileselector
