Another hill to die on...
I want to use a SD floppy emulator strictly as a file transfer device, so no need for floppy images... Expected file sizes range up to at least 10-15MB. Target systems use the media sense 34 pin floppy header [Model 8590 and Model 8595, specifically].
Can the emulator [in theory] support the 2.88MB FDC? Transfer could be 1Mbit/s...
SD emulator will be second drive , and that might be a non-twisted cable [A: has pins 9-16 twisted]
Floppy cable has power and signal, but we can snip those lines in the floppy cable and pull the +5v from a 4-pin drive cable.

Re: SD floppy emulator on IBM PS/2 for data transfer
1Mbit/s rate is not supported by the SD HxC emulators but 2.88MB may be working @ 500Kbits/s
