Just getting started.. Questions.

Post by dabone »

Ok, I've got a gotek with the hxc firmware loaded and working on a Amstrad PPC640.

It's working fine in indexed mode.

My questions are about the DOS Disk browser.

1. Is there a version of this for 720k users?
2. What is the CPU/Ram requirements of this software? (I'm running a 8088 with 640k)
3. If it will work on 8088 machines, where are guides/tutorials on the larger floppy disk formats?

Thanks.

You mean the file selector or the dos disk browser ? I don't understand.

Ok, is there a utility to browse the disk images located on the card/usb from dos on the machine that the hxc is installed in.

I'm installing it in a floppy only system, so it would be the only drive located in the machine.

Thanks.
