With STE, if the copy protection fail, you get the "insert floppy in drive A" (or something similar) message. If the copy protection pass, you get some bomb and back to desktop.

Not get the chance to try it but i have exposed a new option that may help with some protections:

https://hxc2001.com/custom_fw/

Set the "Read emulation pipeline buffer size" to "Short".

No doesn't work either. And btw the USB HxC hardware doesn't work too with it. So there is an issue with the image and/or the PC HxC Software.

I have spotted something in the HxC software logs, i will dig this.

I completely forgot this (again, sorry... )...

To be pragmatic and avoid me some hours of (almost) useless work : Is there any software able to convert this STX to another stream format ?

(I suspect that the problem is the STX format itself -> This format wasn't designed to be able to reproduce the floppy disk... Half the informations is missing to regenerate reliably the floppy disk, and this cause issue with some tittles. This is only for emulators...)

Pasti was the only software from all the disk imaging tools that i have, capable of creating a "working copy" of the floppy. Do you have any software to recommend to create an image for hxc from a copy protected floppy? I don't want buy kyroflux only for that damned datadat :)
Anyway, thank you for all and have a nice day!

Send me an email to hxc2001 at hxc2001.com, i will tell you where to send the disk in France.

Disk received, dumped and converted :

https://hxc2001.com/vrac/DataDat.zip

You need to update the firmware to the very last version (in the WIP folder) :

https://hxc2001.com/download/floppy_dri ... rmware.zip

:D

Hw :
A de10-nano board with a piggy back board for the floppy buffers but anything able to produce a stream dump is fine (kryoflux, supercard pro...).

Sw :
The latest hxc tool to analyze and convert the stream dump to HFEv3 with the weakbits support.

I will check the stx loader, there is problaby something to fix ; )

Thank you for all, really! When you are ready to send back the floppy, mail me all the info regarding the costs. I'm going to buy another gotek for my STE and the least I can do is to get a hxc license for it.
