Write-Protected Disks

Post by mojorific »

Hi HXC guys!

I've been having a great time using my HXC SD Card emulator.

Unfortunately though, still have an issue that I don't understand how to solve.

Some games indicate that my disks are write protected and cannot be written to (for save games).

Is there a way to enable/disable write protection on HFE files? Or is this something that I have to do when the disk is still an ADF file before I convert it?

Because they are virtual disks, I'm not sure how to fix this.

Check the SDCard write protect lock switch.

What is your HxC Revision ? Do you have the last firmware.

That is exactly what it was. I have several SD cards, and somehow some of the write-protect switches were moved. Funny my PC USB adapter doesn't seem to care whether the SD card is in write-protect mode or not.

Thanks for the reply.
