External Button A600

Post by danko »

Hi, everyone I am a new user just registered, i received days ago the HxC Floppy Drive Emulator, I want to install it internally on the Amiga 600, I just do not know how to connect the 3 button (Previous,Eject/Select and Next) on the floppy drive emulator, there is a wiring diagram to know how to connect them? here are some picture that I found online of what I make on my A600,
just that the pictures can not understand how they were connected.

Pin 1 should be connected to all the extra buttons, then follow the pinout in page 26(7.3 User interface) of https://hxc2001.com/floppy_drive_emulat ... Manual.pdf. Does this make sense to you? Haven't got around to doing this on my 1200 yet though... So somebody else can please correct me if I'm totally wrong here!

Yay, this is like the first time I actually understood what needed to be done solder wise to make something work hehe

Now I just have to be brave and start cutting into my beloved A1200 case, that's way more scary than doing the soldering

other possible choice : cutting nothing and just use the file selector

Yes but using the buttons is easier in my setup, never really liked the software file selector. <-- But I like that it's at least an option, this gear is great. Best new gear for my Amiga, next to the brand spanking new Indivision AGA MK2 that is

When I'm all done installing this I will make a really easy to follow instruction on how to do this to a Amiga 1200, might be a good sticky here at the forum!
