Conecting HxC and floppy drive with one cable.

Post by BoboPL »

Hi

When I bought HxC i put it inside my A500+ to work as DF0, then i make external real DF1 drive connected to the rear DB23 connector.
Now i just wonder. It is possible to have HxC as DF0 and real floppy drive as DF1 both connected with single cable to internal A500 floppy connector ?
I know that with two real floppy drives this is impossible but what about HxC ?

This is possible to have 2 internals drives. just use DS0 & DS1...

No not only. you can use 2 real disk drive on the internal floppy connector on A500.

Even if there is no MTRX signal on internal connector ?

BTW. I ask about this because i connected second floppy yesterday and it doesn't work :(

EDIT: HxC as DF1 and floppy drive as DF0 works like a charm, but not the other way. I try all jumpers combinations and still nothing :(

You need to change the floppy drive jumper to DS1.
(The MTRX/MTRON is present on the internal connector !)

In this case blame Commodore : Your floppy disk drive don't have the "Amiga ID Disk Drive" circuit !
