Hi all
I have a SD Floppy Emulator Rev C
Firmware version v1.7.2.0
I am running 2 A500's 1.3 Kick Roms & 2 external drives
reading HFE's downloaded from the internet is not a problem
I am trying to copy 3.5" floppies to ADF's (Via HFE's) using X-Copy with the emulator
If I try to copy without verify it copies an entire disk, but when I read the directory of the copied disk it remains unchanged (blank).
If I copy with a Validiate write on, every block turns to a red 8 and then a green 0 on X Copy and it takes double the time. This time it has copied, but I am unable to boot the disk. the Bootblok doesn't appear to have copied and when I view the files not all have copied over.
I have tried Disk to disk option and Even Disk to Ram, Ram to Disk
I can do standard file copies but its the track copy that seems to be failing
I have used 10 different versions of Xcopy
10 different blank HFE files
2 different External floppy disk drives
2 * Amiga 500 1.3's
3 SD Cards 1 * Sandisk standard 2 Gig Class 2, 1 * Sandisk Extreme III 2 Gig card, 1 Sandisk 32 Gig class 10 Card
Every possible jumper setting imaginable (I have an untwisted floppy cable from the Amiga)
I have mounted the SD Emulator as DF0 and a floppy drive as DF1 without success
I have even ripped apart an external drive and ran the SD Floppy emulator from there copying the other way around with the same results
I have searched the forum and can't see that anyone has had this problem.
Is it possible for the SD Emulator to do this task ?
What is the best SD Card to use and what Jumper setting should work ?
Any help appreciated

Have you tried the "XCopy Next Generation" ?javidoom wrote:Hi.
Thanks!
Recently, I had a problem with it, it was reseting when I use the HxC to copy from disk to disk, using a external drive too... But it was a power problem, so I soldered a direct cable from the power supply connector, to the HxC (and using a pc adapted psu) now works like a charm.
And seems there is an issue with xcopy and similar with the ACA630, and I'm using Xcopy "The next gen" to copy disks, and no problem at all.
Regards.
Re: Copying 3.5" Floppies to HFE Via the SD Floppy Emulator
Hi
I have just tried it.
I used X-Copy - The Next Generation & Tools (1994-07-19)(ASI).
It copied quickly without verify, but the same problem happened, not all file names were copied.
I tried it with verify on and it works !
Hooray, its a bit slower but at least I have copies of disks that I can't find anywhere online.
Thanks for your help.
