I have an A500 0.5chip/0.5fast.
I have a HxC Rev.F (firmware V1.7.2.0), inserted it in a 3.5 floppy case to use it externally, and use an ALPHA DATA boot-selector to boot it as DF1:.
Configured it with ID1A=ON, all others OFF (it's the only way to make it boot externaly, using the boot-selector).
I use the AUTOBOOT file done for DF0: . I didn't see any difference wit the DF1: file.
Using these settings, the unit boot normaly.
When I place an .HFE image file in drive A: in any slot, they works okay.
Now , the questions :
Is it possible tu use drives a: and B: simultaneously using the HxC manager ?
I mean, if I want to play a game that is on two disks, can I put 'em on the same slot, first disk in A: and second disk to B: ???
Wich setting must be used ?
Also, what is the "Drive DF1:" that we can find when we press the F3 key in the manager ???
It can be "on or "off"..... but, what is the difference ???
Manager version : V1.6b.
Thanks for any help.

NO.
The only manual available reffer to Rev.C , not Rev.F.
And it is not clear at all.
It don't explain HOW tu use A: and B: together, nor the "Drive DF1: on/off" option in the manager.
Re: Need some help for my "Rev.F HxC 3.5" form factor"
the best thing is using the slots instead of the drive b. being able to use so many slots, i dont see a need of using drive b. i did so fiew test using drives A and B at the same time that i can not say so much about that function.

This is the same for the Rev F.
When the hxc is inside the amiga :
Set ID0A & ID1B.
Externally with a boot selector : No idea at all...
What does the bootselector with the DSx lines is the question to have the answer.
