Finally got the files on the FTP, thanks.
Your IMG file sizes are 1475584 bytes. They should have 1474560 bytes (80*2*18*512).
The extra 1024 bytes in your files are causing the issue.
Solutions :
-> Remove these last 1024 bytes
OR
-> Request a custom firmware and set your special img file format :
https://hxc2001.com/custom_fw/
(
in "File image formats support" :
set "Raw file image family preference" to "User defined format"
in "User defined raw file image/disk format" :
set "Number of sectors" to 18
set "Bitrate (bitcells)" to 500 Kb/s
set "Floppy Interface mode" to "generic IBMPC_HD"
set "Inter-sectors spacing (GAP3)" to 84
and set "Ignore the file size" (This is the workaround to your issue...)
)
Please note that all IMG files will have these settings in the custom firmware. If you are dealing with img files with another disk geometry (DD /720KB images ?), you may want to change the file extension and set the "File extension" field to something else ("tri" ?). This is as you want.
Anyway i have forwarded you the custom firmware with the *.img custom settings. Test it and let me know.
newby - old IMG not recognized
Re: newby - old IMG not recognized
Done as instructed:
1) copied the new UPD file (deleted the old one)
2) inserted flash drive into Gotek
3) pressed the 2 keys and turning on the Trinity
after a few changes in the led screen (rather busy for a few seconds)...I get a NOR message - and an "UNFORMATTED" label from the Trinity
Also, tried the CLEAR instruction (turn off...pressed the right key and turn back on)...no luck, same as before - only this time even the other floppy (with ImageLess partitions isn't read at all...the led display NOR. Both flash drives can be read on PC (the files are all there).

"Nor" :
viewtopic.php?p=18293#p18293
So have you the indexed config file on the stick ? Or have you set the indexed mode in the internal menu ?This doesn't work : I see "Nor" on the display when inserting the USB stick
The emulator is in "NORmal mode".
Since you don't have any OLED or LCD screen, you need to use the indexed mode or the "autoboot"/file selector mode if you have an Amiga/Atari ST/CPC.
- In indexed mode you must use the indexed config file and name the files images DSKA0000.XXX, DSKA0001.XXX, DSKA0002.XXX (replace XXX by the original file extension.)
The indexed HXCSDFE.CFG config is in the firmware archive.
Re: newby - old IMG not recognized
I have send you another firmware with the indexed mode as default. You don't need the cfg file with this one.
(fyi i just tried image-less usb stick and your images on this one without any issue).

Re: newby - old IMG not recognized
Fixed by email. So the final special settings are :
https://hxc2001.com/custom_fw/
(
in "File image formats support" :
set "Raw file image family preference" to "User defined format"
in "User defined raw file image/disk format" :
set "Number of sectors" to 18
set "Bitrate (bitcells)" to 500 Kb/s
set "Floppy Interface mode" to "generic IBMPC_HD"
set "Inter-sectors spacing (GAP3)" to 84
and set "Ignore the file size" (make working the special image files...)
in "Config user interface":
set "User Interface mode" to "Indexed mode" (This way no special action is needed by the user - no config file needed)
in "Floppy interface" :
set "Non gated mode" (apparently needed by the Korg Trinity to work reliably)
)

Re: newby - old IMG not recognized
It works now...thanks a lot.
I thought I had already the indexed option - then we opted for the Imageless which worked fine...bit then I realized this method doesn't allow to load the Trinity OS disks in case something goes wrong.
Now, I can load any IMG including those of the Trinity OS.
