Folks,
Flashed a GoTek with the loader. It comes up LDR. Pop in a USB stick with the ".upd" file on and the display flashes then error 5. Tried a couple of USB sticks and a couple of software versions. Gotek has had FlashFloppy on before could that cause the issue?

Error 5 after flashing

I think that you have an non-hxc upd file on your stick. remove any other upd file from the stick and copy the hxc firmware upd file to the stick.

Re: Error 5 after flashing
I used a clean empty stick.
Re: Error 5 after flashing
mhhh which file are you using ?
Can you make a video of the issue ? I am not sure anymore what you call "error 5"
The upd files to use are in this archive :
https://hxc2001.com/download/floppy_dri ... rmware.zip
Re: Error 5 after flashing
Yes I use that zip.
Error 5 is a flashing "005" in the Gotek LED 3-digit 7-segment display.

Re: Error 5 after flashing
Ok, that's very very odd.
Try to reflash again the bootloader with the hxc flasher. (your gotek is already registered so no need to have a new license).

Jeff,
Well that is the next step. I feel that flash didn't quite complete or something like that. Will post here when its done.
