Akai S1000 and Gotek wiht HxC Software

I wanted to buy this here: http://www.ebay.de/itm/152072040842?_tr ... EBIDX%3AIT ( Gotek Floppy Atari,Amiga ).
I wanted to use the floppy drive with Gotek HXC software in my Akai S1000, this can work? I have often read that operates an Akai S950 with Gotek and Hxc software and all without Mod.

I can confirm that it works with Akai S-1000 as its listed here:

Concerning mod or not:
“1000 Ohms resistor pull-up on RDATA (wire N°30) needed”

Thanks for your answer ! right, The HxC drive needs a resistor .I have read that Gotek drive for example the S950 no "1000 Ohms resistor" required.
Had the like confirmed. Has there an Akai S1000 / 1100 owner experiences with HxC and Gotek?
