Hello all,
I am using a Gotek with the HxC firmware in AutoBoot mode.
Yesterday it was working fine. Today, when the Amiga Manager starts, I get "LBA Change Test Failed ! Write Issue ?".
I have tried changing the firmware to the Cortex and then back again with no change. I even get an error with the Cortex firmware.
It boots and works fine on my Atari 1040 STf. But moved over to my Amiga 500, I get the above error.
I am using the same USB drive for both, just changing the AUTOBOOT.HFE and the HXCSDFE.CFG files.
What should I be looking for?
Any help would be great!
Thanks,
ron
Gotek, Write Issue?
Re: Gotek, Write Issue?
have you tried another Ffloppy ribbon ?
On the ST the manager is working fine ?

Re: Gotek, Write Issue?
Jeff,
Yes, the ST side is perfect.
On the Amiga side, it errors when the Amiga manager is trying to read the USB stick. It works just fine in Indexed Mode.
I will try a different cable. I also have a couple new USB drives on their way.
Thanks,
Ron

Re: Gotek, Write Issue?
Jeff,
Maybe a corrupt USB drive?
I tried the stock A500 floppy cable and the same result.
I will backup all the stuff on my USB drive and do a format and re-copy. See if that fixes it.
Thanks,
Ron

Re: Gotek, Write Issue?
Ok,
A couple updates. Not sure if they will help or not.
It does not seem to be the cable at all. It also does not seem to be a bad USB drive.
I did discover this: If I boot it in Autoboot mode it will error out from a cold start. If I Ctrl+A+A it works every time.
I have tried this with the download from the website and the beta also. They both act the same.
I have ordered another Gotek to see if that is the issue.
Thanks,
Ron

Re: Gotek, Write Issue?
Ok,
Got another Gotek in and flashed. It seems to be an issue with the old Gotek.
Another question. I would like to use one for DF0: and one for DF1:.
I thought I saw a post somewhere that referenced this. Right now, I have to swap the two, program it and then swap them back.
Is there an autoboot.hfa that I can put on DF1: and run it to program it? If I try to run the existing one, it programs DF0:.
It would be nice to have the program on DF1 that I can run and save the list. And exit back to Workbench.
Thanks,
Ron
