After a lot of tests, three nights awake and an infinite email conversation...
Now Lotharek solved the compatibility problem with my XP50!!!
HxC needs a resistor with value from 1 to 2.2KOhm as the same way of Akai S950.
Roland XP-50 now works with SD HxC Floppy Emulator!!!

Re: Roland XP-50 now works with SD HxC Floppy Emulator!!!
i have Gotek with USB and i want put it on the Roland XP50. As to set jumpers, and what firmware?
Re: Roland XP-50 now works with SD HxC Floppy Emulator!!!
I have the HxC SD FB floppy emulator and I am going to need some help in order to get it fully working with my Roland XP-50. First I will cover the issue(s) that I am having. After that, I will take you through all steps that I have performed in the installation configuration and preparation of this emulator so that hopefully someone can help identify that issue and help me work through it.
Here is where I am having problems:
---------------------------------------------
I go to the HxC emulator and select the song file that I want and press the middle button.
On the Roland XP-50 I then go to Disk and Load and then select Song and press Enter.
The XP-50 tells me that the disk is not formatted and does not recognize the song files and certainly does not load them.
Here is what I have done up to now:
--------------------------------------------
I have removed the factory floppy drive from the keyboard.
I set the first DIP switch to 1 in order to enable mapping for Floppy Drive 1, and I left all other DIP switches set to 0. (If anyone can confirm or refute this as being the correct DIP configuration, please do so).
I flashed the HxC to the latest Firmware (as of the date of this post, the latest firmware level is 8.2.40). (Checking the firmware version within the OLED screen confirms the new firmware level).
I soldered a 1k resistor across the resistor pad marked R12 on the circuit board (I was careful to not create any short circuits with other pads, and I used alcohol and a Q-TIP to clean up any solder flux, and so please rest assured the soldering job was performed correctly).
I formatted a 2GB SD Card with FAT32.
I have created a config file for this, using the HxC Floppy Emulator Software for Windows.
(I did not see a CFG file for any of the Roland XP series keyboards within the Quick-Install Floppy Disk Images, and so I resorted to at least an attempt to create a CFG file, but I do not know if the parameters are correct).
The CFG file was written to the root directory of the SD Card.
I copied several files from my XP-50 floppies and converted them to HFE format, and then placed them into a directory on my Windows machine, and then I copied the entire directory to the newly formatted SD Card.
I safely unmounted the SD Card from Windows and then physically ejected it.
I then placed the card into the HxC floppy emulator on the XP-50 and booted it.
The XP-50 boots fine with the SD card inserted.
Please help if you can. Any help with this will be very much appreciated.
Regards,
Jim
