AKAI MPC3000
AKAI MPC3000
Hello,
I ordered a SDcard HxC for my Emu Emax yesterday. I also own an Akai MPC3000 - and it would be fantastic to put a HcX in it!
Would it be possible in the future?
Thanks For your great work!

Probably that the MPC3000 is already supported.
Read one of your mpc3000 floppy disk with the tool :

and post/send me the floppy image.
Re: AKAI MPC3000
Hi Jeff, reviving this thread just to see if I can install your HxC drive on my MPC3000. I don't see it listed in your compatibility list...i do see MPC60. Have you had people confirm that it does work?
I'd go with your drive, it looks rather elegant.

No confirmation for the moment, but it will surely work with the MPC3000 without problem.chaka wrote:Hi Jeff, reviving this thread just to see if I can install your HxC drive on my MPC3000. Does this have advantages over the Acard IDE Scsi adapter type?
Thanks

One thing to keep in mind : the HxC Floppy Emulator emulate floppy disk. So on the sdcard you can have up to 8000 virtuals floppy disk.chaka wrote: Does this have advantages over the Acard IDE Scsi adapter type?
Thanks
But this is not an hard drive solution : the size of each virtual floppy disk still the same as the real one.

Re: AKAI MPC3000
Did anyone get this going? I tried various jumper settings. I tried using omniflop to read a formatted disk and then using the HXC floppy tool to write and hfe file. I tried the config and blank floppy files from the MPC 60 and S 950. I cannot get anything to work. Please send some help my way.
Thanks,
Dustin
Thanks,
Dustin
Re: AKAI MPC3000
Please use the HxC software to read your actual floppy and export them to HFE then send me the HFE files.

Okay, I resent them. I hope I am creating the hfe files properly.
