Check that your switch setting is set to ID0-A.
Then on the emulator :
Remove the SDCard
Press select (middle button)
-> <Interface CFG >
-> <Custom>
-> <Pin 2 setting>
-> <nDensity>
-> <Pin 34 setting>
-> <nReady>
<Exit>
<Exit>
Let me know if this work.

Try the "S950_HD" Interface mode.
Re: akai mpc 3000 problem with ejection virtual floppy
Just got the MPC3000 service manual
Re: akai mpc 3000 problem with ejection virtual floppy
switch on the right position
formatting is very very slow
the noise is due to the emulator
still not working

Re: akai mpc 3000 problem with ejection virtual floppy
Ok then switch ID0-A AND ID3-A (in same time).
To change the image disk please try this : Press the middle button on the hxc to eject the image, wait 2 seconds and reselect another one.
Send me back the formatted image too.
Which sdcard model are you using ?
EDIT: According to the user manual the MPC3000 seems to use 2 signals at a very uncommon place (pin 6 & 4). Unfortunately the pdf i got is almost unreadable, so i am not sure if there are related to the disk change detection...
Can you provide me a picture of your MPC3000 floppy disk drive with its jumper and the model + brand model ?

hihizerock wrote:Hello I have the same problem I can save a program but the mpc see only one image even when I change the image
I also don't have all the sub menu you have mentioned
now can save more files
steps:
1 copy, paste, rename hfe-image files from the PC connected to the sd card
without erasing the "hfe extension file" (example: beat1.hfe,beat2.hfe etc.etc.)
2 select beat1.hfe from your hxc floppy and save from mpc
3 at the end of the process remove sd
4 give the command saves with mpc and receive message:
error code FF80 there is no floppy disk in the drive
......... Push exit from the mpc screen menu
5 insert sd card, select for example beat2.hfe and save .........
the problem comes if the file weighing more than 1.44 m
when floppy memory being full, mpc request the new floppy to complete saves
select the new hxc file from floppy emulator....save with mpc but the mpc saving in the previous image... and not saving!
is not yet perfect but works with mpc 3000
I look for another solution ... ...
any help is appreciated!
thanks
Re: akai mpc 3000 problem with ejection virtual floppy
I just sent to you an big 4.5MB disk image. Try to save something bigger than 1.44MB on this and tell me if this work.gianitaly wrote: the problem comes if the file weighing more than 1.44 m

(don't format the image !)
Anyway it seems that Akai choose once again a non-standard way to make the disk change detection :
Can you send me a picture of your original disk drive : I want to see the disk drive jumpers & brand + model !.
@hizerock : Please do the same.
EDIT:
Seems to be a common issue with the MPC3000 :

Re: akai mpc 3000 problem with ejection virtual floppy
@gianitaly & hizerock
New firmware in your email box :
Update it,
Set your switchs to ID0-A AND ID3-A.
Then on the emulator :
Remove the SDCard
Press select (middle button)
-> <Interface CFG >
-> <Custom>
-> <Pin 2 setting>
-> <nDensity>
-> <Pin 34 setting>
-> <nReady2> (the "2" is important )
<Exit>
<Exit>
Let me know how the thing works.
