Problem floppy emualator for CNC machine

Post by seaman_2007 »

Thank you!
Image 300rpm double step - reading the TOC, but not reading pattern
300rpm single step - read the TOC and the contents of pattern, but at 7 and 10 track reads
many times, but read to the end. When we try to write - it is up to 7 tracks and displays Disk Error
message.
360rpm double step does not read.
360rpm single step does not read.
This is a great progress, but we want the device to work properly. Thanks a lot!

Ok so FD_300RPM_SINGLESTEP.hfe is working when reading but not when writing ? right ?

Please retry it with this new beta version firmware:

Hi!

After updating the firmware, no change.

cnc machine normally reads data up to 7 tracks, and after 13. from 7 to 13 tracks repeatedly
reads the data many times.

when trying to write - normally writes to 7 tracks, and then issues a Disk Error message.

how we can convert the original diskette image into the image for cnc machine 300rpm_single_step?

Hi!

I want to install one hxc floppy emulator on the PC, on which patterns are created and set

one hxc floppy emulator for each cnc machine.

On the image that you sent (300rpm_single_step), we can not write pattern on the PC.

I send you three images:
1. The image of the floppy disks formatted on a PC, without a pattern, using a program for creating patterns
2. Image floppy disks, with the pattern, created with the program for creating patterns
Then we loaded on cnc machine pattern from a floppy drive 5.25 "and write down it to hxc floppy emulator - this is a 3 image.
First image: <Formated_TAPSA_without_pattern.hfe>
Second image: <TAPSA_diskette_with_pattern_pagon.hfe>
Third image: <Jumberca_with_pattern_pagon.hfe>

Images joined.

Before all of this can you tell me if my previous file image (FD_300RPM_SINGLESTEP_2.hfe) is working correctly on your machine (write & read) ?

Thanks.

Hi!

previous file is read is not quite correct (FD_300RPM_SINGLESTEP_2.hfe Posted: Sat Apr 02,
2011 10:28 pm).

Files that you sent last time in zip (Posted: Sun Apr 03, 2011 1:46 am):

FD_300RPM_SINGLESTEP_2.hfe
FD_300RPM_SS_Formated_TAPSA_without_pattern.hfe
FD_300RPM_SS_Jumberca_with_pattern_pagon.hfe
FD_300RPM_SS_TAPSA_diskette_with_pattern_pagon.hfe

read and write on the cnc machine perfectly, but can not read on the PC for creating pattern.

We have a question - how we can create an image on a PC, so it read at cnc machine?

Because your images send for us are not read on a PC to create a pattern, but read on the cnc machine.

Ok.

To be readable on PC, you need to change the floppy interface mode of this files to "IBM PC 720Kb".
To do this: Menu Settings -> SDCard HxC Floppy Emulator settings -> Uncheck "Auto" and select "IBM PC 720Kb" -> "Ok"
-> Load the HFE file -> "Export" to apply the modification.
The new HFE should now be accessible on the PC.

Don't forget to reset the HFE floppy interface mode to "Generic Shugart" before using it into the CNC machine.
