Sun Motortester MSC2000 / Tech80 / OSC2000

Post by Dyonisus »

Hello,

i'm an absolut noob to floppy-emulation, excuse my not existing skills in programming....

I have a Sun Motortester OSC2000, wich is similar to the MSC2000 just brandet for Opel cars.
Cause of a not working floppy, I got a USB-HcX2001 prepared for Usage on an Amiga. It should be good for me, cause I dont need to write an the floppy.
I also got a set of HFE-images of all the floppys for this maschine.

What is needet, to make this emulator run on my old motortester?
Does it have to be flashed, and if it has, how to do it on my workstation using kubuntu. The only Windows-PC I have is a Thinkpad Yoga which doesnt have any possibility to connect a floppy.

Or can I simple copy my imgaes to USB-stick an rename it for usage in indexed mode?

Thanks for any helpfull answers.

regards Dyo

Sorry for the late reply.

Im using a Gotek usb emulator.
Now its already flashed with the hcx firmware.
Its updated to the last version and should be used in indexed mode.
But all I get is an error while trying to read an image.
The same stick thats used for the updates without any problem produces errors when it containes only a few hfeimages and the configfile for indexed mode.

I suggest there may be some parameters needed to be set, but dont know wich parameters are needed for this maschine.

Could you perhaps help me to find out whats wrong?
