ROBOFIL 310 and Gotekt USB FDD Emulator

Post by BKs »

Hello,

i have read through some of the topics already, but i couldn´t find a solution to my problem.

In our Workshop we are currently using a ROBOFIL 310 mchine with a TEAC fd-235hf c929-u5 Floppy Disk Drive.
Since im renewing our IT infrastructure in the workshop i thought i could get rid of the floppy disks altogether.

So I looked up on google for a good solution and found the Gotek/ Yosoo SFR1M44-U100K Updated Version emulator.
Today i got my hands on it and tested it out immediately, but the ROBOFIL say "no floppy disk in hard drive A".

So i took a photo of the jumpers in the back and startet to search the internet about gotek jumpers.

The TEAC fd-235hf c929-u5 Floppy Disk Drive has the following jumper settings:
FG - 0V (FG)
DS - 10 (DS0)
SY - 34P (RY34)
HI - HS (HA)

Now im trying to do the same on the Gotek emuator, but i could find only 2/4 of the settings.

Gotek jumper settings:
JA (RY34)
S0 (DS0)

Now my question is, how can i get the other two connections?
HI - HS (HA) sets the density to auto
FG - 0V (FG) is the short between FDD frame and DC 0V (is this like PEN?)

Im using "USB Floppy Disk Manager 1.40i" to format my USB-Stick to 100x 720KB Virtual Floppys.

Thanks in advance!

I got my hands on an old PC with IDE and connected the gotek FDD to it.
Now i was searching for a flashing tutorial, but i realized that purchasing the gotek drive and an old PC seems not to be enough to keep going.

Am i right that i need the bootloader (10€) and some micro controller that i can solder to the gotek in order to flash the firmware?

Can someone tell me what else i need?
Thanks in advance!

Hi,

You need to have a usb-serial ttl adapter. A FTDI cable is fine for example.
You can also use a usb usb cable to flash the drive but you will have to contact me to hxc2001 at hxc2001.com
