Hi Jeff ...

we are trying to install more than 02 months the emulator:

Mdelo: SD Card HxC Floppy Emulator Mr Jeff, I wrote you an email telling us about our difficulty .... but the real situation is this:
We need to install this device in a CNC excellon, the software that is available in the forum in our machine of the defect because the machine that is available is DRILL and Nossa e Houter ....
Anyway we tried to copy this file in different ways but we are doing something wrong ....
1st attempt: we can upload the machine with the emulator in S1, with the original floppy disk on one side and the emulator on the other the machine works perfectly ....
2 ° you told me how we are using the device from what I read this does both functions .... but Jeff, now what we need and make the copy ....
3 / So we are trying to copy from the original disk in the machine to the emulator for some reason of the error ...
Ramasch succeeded but I still have not ....
I can pass the backup procedure of the machine to see if there is some confusion, what I do not understand and why we copied with success from floppy A to Floppy B and I can not do with the emulator .....
Jeff due to lack of knowledge, I bought a USB Gotek from the Emulator Brazil without success, I will not go into details to avoid harming the Emulator Brazil, is is for Proxima ....
It would take me one step at a time to see what is going wrong.

Machine Backup Procedure:

This will allow you to make copies of floppy disks
(Including Software disks)
Please note that a "FILE NOT FOUND" message will be
displayed if the disk to be copied has no file on it.
This message should be ignored.
Is this a two-sided disk being copied (Y/N)? Y
Do you want the new disk verified (Y/N)? N
Has the disk being CREATED been
initialized yet (Y/N)? N
Place the disk to be INITIALIZED in the PART-PROGRAM
disk drive (D2).
Press (RETURN) when ready> RETURN
--Warning! Destroys ALL data on ENTIRE Drive -- Password?: YES
--Warning! Destroys ALL data on ENTIRE Drive -- Password?: YES
Place disk being CREATED in the PART-PROGRAM
disk drive (D2).
Place original disk (disk being COPIED) in the SYSTEM
SOFTWARE disk drive (D1). You may now remove the SYSTEM
SOFTWARE disk from it's drive.
Press (RETURN) when ready> RETURN
BACK,D1:*,D2:*
BACK,D3:*,D4:*
Do you want to re-run '@BACKUP' (Y/N)? Turn Off Machine

More information I'm reading

Excellon floppy disks for IBM PC disks
Copy the Excellon formatted floppy disks to IBM PC formatted floppy disks.

This floppy copy program can be added to our Graphics Drives / Routes or to our Drill Room File Server Systems. It provides a simple way to read and copy files, one at a time, from a 5 ¼-inch Excellon formatted disk to an IBM formatted floppy disk. You will need a standard PC with two floppy drives running in Windows 95/89 / ME or DOS. Due to limitations imposed by Microsoft, it will not work on any version of Windows NT. No special hardware is required. Logical drive "A" must have a standard 1.2 MB, 5 1/4 inch disk drive. Unit "B" should be 1.44 Mb, 3 1/2 ".

This program works by reprogramming the IBM-compatible standard floppy disk controller to match the Excellon disk parameters. Excellon writes the first track on the top side at 128 bytes per sector. All other tracks on the Excellon disk are written at 256 bytes per sector. The lowest density that an IBM standard floppy disk controller can read is 256 bytes per sector. Therefore, you can only read the underside (D2 or D4), not the top side (D1 or D3), of an Excellon disk - unless you install a special and expensive floppy disk controller and additional software. There is no reason to do this. Just use your CNC-6 to copy files from top to bottom of an Excellon disk. You can then read the underside of the disk on any IBM PC-compatible computer using this software program.

Hi, Jeff ... ...

where I send the copies of the disks ... give me your address ... Emulator Face Brazil I already sent the copy but it seems to me that it does not have the proper knowledge to help me but I still bought the 2nd emulator, and I made it clear if it works out we'll buy another 5 pieces ...

I'm not pushing you anymore because I'm not getting the process ...
Jeff I'm dedicating myself to damn ... I have to give a direct command on the machine Dir: D1 and D2 and then give but a DIR: D3 and D4 ...
I think the detail and this machine copies the top then the supercede or this machine works as Californea software according to:

If you don't have the right file images for your machine, it is useless to insist on the emulator...

What you need is a proper dump of working system and data disk.

So first, please make a proper and verified copy of the system & data disk :

- Copy the floppy disks with the machine.

- Tests the new system and data floppy disks. (Check that all are working with the copied disks).

And then :

- Send me these disks to France. ( send me an email to hxc2001 @ hxc2001.com to have the address)
- I will read/dump them, check the dump and prepare the images for the emulator.

Hi Jeff ...

Friend is working perfectly and that's why I'm intrigued ...
Copy from floppy A to Floppy B on the original floppy disk ...
and when I saw Ramasch climb the machine I saw that it was the cat's leap ....
the harder I've seen some sub mayer and exellon equipment working perfectly with the emulator, and that I'm ............................ ......
But let's go up and let's get it right I'll be sending you the safe and original copies of this equipment.

Sure the HxC Emulator is working perfectly with the Excellon, it is sold by Excellon as replacement part and by some Excellon specialised companies too.
