Hi there,
I've been trying to get this machine working with a Gotek with the HxC firmware installed.
I hear these things operate the FD drive at a nonstandard RPM, which means I can't dump a firmware with a windows machine. Is this correct?
It uses two Matsushita Model C 3.5 inch, set to drives 0 and 1 with MO and RY set. After playing with the jumpers on the Gotek, it appears that the drive works. I attempted to copy the OS disk to the Gotek, but after the disk initialise is finish the machine throws a faulty disk error.
Any ideas would be helpful.

Re: Hitachi 4010 Fluorescence Spectrophotometer and Gotek Hx
I've managed to get the device booting, "kind of". I used an image off a Casio FZ1 and I was able to initialize and copy my master disk. The machine boots, and the floppy works, but it gives auto start errors, so there must be something wrong with the image. If I try the exact same process with an actual floppy, it works.
Any ideas?

If possible, try to make a dump of the working floppy disk. use the machine floppy drive on a pc to get the right RPM.
