Converting DSS-1 Omniflop images to HFE

Post by k-Tracker »

Hi Jeff,
please, help I stuck with DSS-1.
I have successfully converted all *.dss library since it was automatically recognized by HxC software, but can't convert my Omniflop library in *.IMG format.
I did following:
1. downloaded custom layout file posted here: empty_korgdss1.fpf
2. in the Load RAW Image menu selected "Custom Layout", loaded fpf file and then Loaded RAW file (*.IMG)
3. plug into DSS-1 and it reports it as unformatted.

Please, help. I attached IMG file and FPF file I used.

General rule : Please avoid omniflop -> It just output raw/dsk file and doesn't give any detail about the disk geometry... Use the HxC dump tool instead or ImageDisk which use a better file image format (*.IMD).
the fdp file seems to be corrupted.

Anyway i will add the one xml description into the layout format list for the korg.

Thank you Jeff, noted.
Can you let me know manual settings so I should not wait until XML info is added into the tool?
