Speccy Power

Post by Beaps »

Hi All,

My +3 has just arrived and I noticed the power supply for the internal drive has red, black, black, orange.

What do I have to do snip the orange wire so it doesnt blow up my HxC?

Thanks

It may be the same as in the Amstrad CPC, Orange being +5v and Red being +12. But I'm not sure... Be careful with it.

I reckon so as the motherboard say AMSTRAD (as they bought out Spectrum)

Ok so I should attach the other way around?

Before pluging anything check the voltage ...

The power supply pinout is in the user manual :

Keep the Orange wire, Its the red wire that you need to disconnect
