Is there a "easy" way for putting LEDs external ?

First of all, THANK you for that great product. I just got my HxC Rev C today. I want to put it in a Amiga 500.
I read that I can put the buttons and the LCD relatively easy external, but what about the 3 LEDs. Is there a way to put them external too ? I do not dare to solder on the SMD LEDs :)

hot air, bzzzzzzz, no smd leds, 6 wires and 3 holes in case and voila ;-)

Removing with hot air, of course. Didn't think of that :D
