New to HcX and I have a few questions

Post by SteveSTechMan »

I am using a Gotek floppy emu with my Korg X3 keyboard (Finally found someone on ebay that makes the adapters!), I did the OLED upgrade (worth every penny) and now that I am using it, I'd like to know the following:
  • How do you do a firmware upgrade when a new version comes out?
  • Is there a way to display the Disk name rather than "PART0000" when changing images?
  • Is there a tool (and maybe I missed it) to "create" floppy images on a USB and manage them? I used the IMG file for 16 FDDs and used rufus to create them, but I would like more IMGs created.
Thank you (and what a great device!)

Not right now, but i plan to add the disk name support in a next version.

I made and used some scripts to do this job under a Linux machine. If interested i can share them. But please note that Windows and Linux are slow to mount more than 16 disks/partitions (damn auto-mounter... ;) ). Also : Under windows the max drive letter is Z:. If you have more partitions you need to use an alternate method to mount them.
