How do you create a .HFE disk using the CLI tool?

Post by Hollusion »

I am not able find any guide or documentation on CLI tool (hxcfe.exe) explaining how to do the folowing:
  • create a virtual DOS_DD_720KB: Standard 3"5 DOS DD Floppy Disk
  • copy data (VINTAGE1.G01) into it
  • save virtual disk as .hfe file
My goal is to write a script that automates the creation of .hfe disk files for multiple .G01 files but I am not able to create the disks using the CLI tool and the GUI tool does not seem to be able to batch create virtual disks.

you can create a folder with the .fat1440 or .fat720 extension and convert it with the CLI tool.
