New approach with ferro ram

Post by StefaanC »

I have a PSR9000Pro and fitted a 8GB sort solid state disk based on 1028x8 ferro ram, 4GBLddr3 , a modern 64 bit CPU clocked at 500Mhz
and presents itself as 2GB volumes according to the limitations of the synthesizer.

Cause the ide port is...too slow, so the ram is used as buffer so the cpu reads out the buffer slower to send this to the ide port.
Writing again to the buffer and then to the ferro ram. costs a bit more then then the usb go but the difference is if power failure happens at write
i can resume thanks to a lifepo4 that holds the system working to finish a write job and then power off. I had to drill two holes to support the pcb.

Soon massive production to get the price down.
