RAW (.IMG) write support

Post by noithatgooccho »

Hi, Just wondering if you are still working on RAW write support for the Gotek/HxC?

I'm having some issues with my Gotek and a 4mhz Z80 S-100 system. I've been building CP/M for the system, and when I format a new disk and do a SYSGEN, the resultant disk image is not bootable. Looking closer at the disk image generated, it looks like SYSGEN is not writing consistently, leaving some areas unwritten that should be written. Now this could be an issue with the SYSGEN I'm using, but my gut feeling is this is unlikely (I'm going to do some testing with another version of SYSGEN just incase).

Or it could also be a Gotek speed issue with writing to the USB stick...and in this case, you mentioned that you will be adding write support for RAW images as this may improve things.

Changing to faster USB stick could also help.

Thanks for your time and support.

Raw files are supported since 4 years at least.
Please see the documentation : https://hxc2001.com/docs/gotek-floppy-e ... mages.html

And the issue you are mentioning is fixed in the current firmware version.

EDIT : It seems that i am talking to a bot :D ... :
