error in manual?

Post by maopa »

When I have a look at the showroom ibm pc notes often tells id1 was jumpered. But the manual tells that id2 is for drive a but id1 is for drive select b. Drive select b doesnt make sense to be id1 so could this be a wrong example?

In fact this depend if you are using the floppy ribbon's twisted part or not. The "twist" on the ribbon exchange the drive selection signals.
