Frank wrote:Hi Jeff,
now i have the next problem.
I create a diskimage in MFM/26sector/128byte/80track/300UPM/250000bitrate.
When i write to the disk, i get "WABS:131" or "RABS:131" in the Display.
What does it mean?

Frank
This probably means that a new firmware version is needed ;-)

Is the number after the BS: always the same ?

EDIT : The actual firmware should correct this. which version have you ?

Hi Jeff,
Firmware-version is: 1.6.0.0
HxCFloppyEmulator.exe is: 1.6.8.1 or 1.5.2.1
On both versions the display is the same.
The RA(WR)BS:131 is always the same.
Only in the short stepping times, the display shows the current tracknumber.
When i do the same with 256byte sectors and 13 sector per track, it works normal.

Ok. So i reread your first message. In fact generaly 128 bytes are not supported by FDC in MFM.
For the moment the emulator reject the 128 sector size MFM. But i can add this support easily.

Hi Jeff,
my WD1793 supports 128 bytes/sector either in FM and MFM Mode.
It would be nice, if you can insert the support for 128 bytes/sector in MFM.

Hi Jeff,
thanks for the new firmware.
I tryed this out with my disk parameters.
Now i get the "WETO" message when i write to disk.
In the previous firmware, 13sector/256Byte/MFM/250000 works, now i get "WETO" too.

I found the HxCFloppyEmulator.exe 1.6.9.0
With this version i build a new HXCSDFE.CFG
Now it works with MFM 128Byte/sector.
