Hi there !

yesterday i decided to install my HxC on my X68030, thanks to the Namida's tutorial.

First i made my cable.
In the second time, i configured the file config with the HxC software on Generic Shugart
And then i put the jumpers on the HxC board to have 2 drives emulated.
In the last part, i took some games on gametronik website (.hdf files) and then i convets these files to .hfe

Then i mounted, for exemple Akumajo dracula, first disk image on A drive and second disk on B drive, and i reboot the X68030.
Then nothing appeared :(
The loading led on the HxC board stay switch on, but there's a black screen :(

I've checked the connection of the HxC board, and everythings looks good.

Is it an image problem?

I'm gonna test with Parodius Da image, and it's the same probleme...
With Nemesis 90 Kai, everything seems loading without problems and finally i've got this error message:
error_nemesis90.jpg
error_nemesis90.jpg (203.43 KiB) Viewed 18468 times
HELP! :)

Jeff, I think now it's the moment to add X68000 disk eject emulation on your wonderful HxC!

Not possible without additional hardware...
And unfortunately there are no info at all about the specials features of the X68000 floppy interface. (And i don't have any x68000...)

I have a X68000 CompactXVI, feel free ask if you need some signal measurements.

In fact i need to know the purpose of these signals :

OPTION SELECT 0(X68ONLY) 1
OPTION SELECT 1(X68ONLY) 3
N.C/HEAD LOAD(X68ONLY) 4
OPTION SELECT 2(X68ONLY) 5
OPTION SELECT 3(X68ONLY) 7
EJECT(X68ONLY) 9
EJECT MASK(X68ONLY) 11
LED BRINK(X68ONLY) 13
DISK IN(X68ONLY) 15
ERR DISK(X68ONLY) 17
FDD INT(X68ONLY) 19

OK.Do you think having a X68000 would help you in understanding better these signals?
Are these signals all needed to be emulated?
In my case this is the pinout:

Yes, I already seen this solution, but , if I'm not wrong, at the end of the page there is picture which shows an error so this solution is far from perfect.Maybe we have to contact kitahei88, he is also member of this forum.
It would great if we can make your Hxc emulator fully working with X68000!

THis is possible but for this someone must take an oscilloscope and find the meaning of each signal.

Question: did you have a x68000 floppy disk drive board ?
If yes can you make a top and a bottom pictures (in High quality...) ?

Yes but keep in mind I have a X6800 CompactXVI which has different floppy (it has 3.5" with soft eject feature) from other model but I think signals are the same in all models.
I have two faulty floppy drives, if you want I can send you them for studying.

Jeff> i see "RA" on the LED screen

I've tested many games that should works on X68030, but with the HxC they don't...

Nemesis 90 (error screen... if someone know how to install it on HDD?)
Akumajo (black screen, nothing happen... if someone know how to install it on HDD?)
*****edit*****
error message when i use the hdinst utility on the second floppy
error_akumajo.jpg
error_akumajo.jpg (246.81 KiB) Viewed 18452 times
Cotton (refuse to start directly on floppy, need to be installed but it's not working...)
Dragon Spirit (error screen)

I don't know if the problem comes with the floppy images ...

Other observation, there's no sounds.
I saw that a cable is plugged between the internal speaker and the floppy drives...

The games i tested and works

Daikaimura
Phalanx
Salamander
View Point
Sol Feace

If someone know how to install them on HDD?
