Hi again.

Ok, so I put this firmware UPD file at the root of the USB stick an test (after having removed the previous UPD file)?

I did that, and it doesn't work either:
- I can read DS disks
- I can't read SS disks

I'm waiting for new a 34-pin disk ribbon cable.
Maybe it's a problem with it ?

You didn't update the firmware.
Please read the procedure : https://hxc2001.com/docs/gotek-floppy-e ... pdate.html

Hi Jeff

I updated the firmware as you mentioned.
But I can't read single sided disks either, nor double sided disks anymore...

I have also changed the 34-pin ribbon cable for another one, and the result is the same.

I have made a video of what happen:

Do you have a new idea to test ?

I also have a 2/84 and am having problems with HxC. Some background...
I have a Kaypro 2, and have successfully been using it. I have the same GoTek, same HxC version and configuration, and it won't work at all with the Kaypro 2/84 (same 292 ROM). It did have the Tandon single sided drives in it. I've tried both SSDD and DSDD images but no luck. I was wondering if you had made any progress with yours?
Thanks,

Please update to the latest firmware version available in the WIP_Firmware folder :

I updated per your instructions, I thought it was already on that version, although the file was from late 2021, not the February date on the file from this link. When it boots it reports 3.8.3.1a. It looks like it's trying to read the images, I've tried SS/DD and DS/DD, with no luck. The display reads
"RA T:000/041 S:1" not sure if this helps or not.
Thank you

Wow totally missed that. The link took me somewhere to the 3.x version. OK now it does report the latest version 4.2.3.1a, but still no luck. It doesn't matter if I set up the drive as A: or B:, same error when on the corresponding connector. When I hooked it up as B:, I did get a BDOS error on b: sector not found error once. It must be something to do either with the BIOS or the main board. The same Gotek works fine on a Kaypro II, with the older BIOS and board. This one has the 292 BIOS and the Kaypro 240 board (Kaypro II (83).
Thanks for all of your assistance.e
