Floppydrive emulator and TRS80

Post by Hans »

Is anybody successfull with using image files on a TRS80.

I have a TRS80 Model4P and I want to use some old image files on this computer.

In this case:

SEADRAGON.DSK
COPYCAT.DSK
SU4.DSK
DANCING DEAMON.DSK

Somebody succeeded with these image files ?
Any tips for this type of files would be nice.

what it is ? JV1, JV3 or DMK files ?
if this is JV1 files, change the file extension to .JV1

Most of them are JV1 files.

Changing the extension doesn't help.
I still get a no disk error.
The trackcounter on the emulator goes up to 229.
These are double boot disk (model 1 and other)
This is some kind of protection.

The software emulators for TRS80 can boot these disk with no problems.

Do I need a special configuration for the HxC emulator ?

i have difficulties with some TRS-80 files.
One of these is http://www.classiccmp.org/cpmarchives/t ... 8-0009.zip
When i try loading this, "Load error! Read file error!" appears.

@ Jeff

Hi Jeff

I am using a Trs-80 Model 1 using SINGLE DENSITY Single sided 35/40 Track disk Images.
I can convert them to work on the TRS-80 which works well.

If i want to use the Disk Browser in the HxCFloppyEmulator v2,0,20,0.
It always shows " Some errors-------" in a red stripe.
as I cannot choose a SINGLE DENSITY file type,
Is there a patch that can be applied or a SINGLE DENSITY Type be included in the dropdown menu Please.

If it ain't Broke then PLEASE DONT fix it.
