EMU SP12 - NOT SP1200

Post by sicks »

Hi, I'm just wondering if this HxC has been tried on the EMU SP12. This came before the EMU SP1200 and saves on an external Commodore 1541-II.
I searched the net and found bits of info but no conclusive answers. Please assist before I buy. :D
Thanks, Dan.

If this is a true Commmodore 1541-II, this one should be tested:

On Emu SP12 no.

If the Emu SP12 disk drive is a true Commmodore 1541-II, this one should be tested:

Have you tried the Cassette In/Out way to save you SP 12 Data? It´s about the sames speed like to save to the 5.25" floppys.

Check that out. you won´t even need a floppydrive that way.

Record the audiosignal that comes from the Cassette Out of your SP. Playback this audiosignal (sounds like oldschool 56k modems) to the Cassette In of the SP 12 get your Samples/Sequences back into the SP.

You can save Sequences and Samples that way.

It´s also possible to load up your SP 12 Data that way into the SP 1200 via the SMPTE in port.

Important is, to find the right audiolevel , when get back into the SP 12. Try a few times. It works.
