Copy the file Config_Files/Indexed_mode/HXCSDFE.CFG from the USB Stick STM32 HxC Floppy Emulator firmware update archive ( https://hxc2001.com/download/floppy_driv ... rmware.zip ) to the usb stick root folder and rename your HFE files DSKA0000.HFE,DSKA0001.HFE,DSKA0002.HFE....
Already did, but still get the error..

Is the stick formatted in FAT32 ?

When an image is successfully loaded by the emulator you should see the image number on the display.

Yep. I'm gonna try doing again. By the way, there was two HFE-files in the root by default, are these of any importance and should they be renamed? I tried both with original name and dska0001.hfe etc.

i don't know what "by default" means here but anyway you must start with DSKA0000.HFE file name then increase the number to add files (DSKA0001.HFE,DSKA0002.HFE...) !
And use the index cfg file from the firmware archive (Config_Files/Indexed_mode/HXCSDFE.CFG)

Ah, I mean there was already .HFE files in the root folder which I didn't put there. Anyway, I tried putting the firmware on it once again, renaming the .HFE-files DSKA0000.HFE etc, putting the indexed mode-file in the root folder and still the 7 segments screen just shows "HxC" without being able to skip through any library.

Since I was able to update the firmware from the usb, shouldn't that mean that the problem isn't the flash drive? I'll try to get one tomorrow anyways and try. However, would I need to flash/bootload it and do the whole firmware thing on it then?

no since this is in the emulator.

I want to install a lotharek sd floppy emulator into my FZ-1

Is there a step by step instruction at this point?

A consolidation of the last 9 pages on this thread?

I don't want to save old floppies, Just get right into sampling.

Thank You for any help!

Then just install the emulator and use the images present into the FZ1 quick install archive.
