one short question: in the email I sent to you were 2 files: PCM.hfe and Prog.hfe. These are formatted in a different way. The Prog does contain 4 possible savings without PCM data and the PCM contains only one saving including the PCM data. Do we need two different hfe file versions for the T3ex?
Everythink is working in respect to the T3ex data. But I do have some problems concerning conversion of DSM-1 PCM disks. The images are created with copyqm as far as I know. They can be found at the following site:
Hi I have owned a Korg t3ex from new. I’ve got the dreaded data error problem and none of my disks will load. I bought a new drive off eBay and even tried to format new high density disks with no success. I’d hate to lose all my sounds and samples collected over 25 years so if anyone can help me fix this I’d be over the moon. The thought of losing all my old band sounds is killing me. Is something like omniflop and an cf card reader the answer in which case can someone send me the 2 image files I need ( one being for pcm/programs one partition and the other for programs/combis, sequences/ 4 partitions. Please please help. soundbytes@ntlworld.com
Did you manage to save your sounds at all? I have a T3Ex and am new to sysex and midi dump. Could you transfer your sounds that way at all? I'm not sure how to do it. I was reading a lot from this site too:
I would like to connect to the topic becasue I have just installed HXC Gotek in Korg T3 and the instrument freezes when trying to read and format a floppy disk.
The firmware version is HxCFEUSB_V3_5_2_5a
I tried to use cfg file from 'Quick install floppies' - SDHxCFE_PC_1.44MB
