I swapped emulator drives and ribbon cables with my Korg DSS-1, but get same no save result. Looks like there is something wrong with my Kawai Q80's hardware. Strange, since I bought this almost 2 years ago "like new". :(

I forgot to mention, my firmware was already 1.7.2.0. I downloaded and upgraded with the newer one (1.8.2.40). I don't think this makes any difference, but since upgrading to newer firmware, I've noticed "WET0" is now a "WES0".

I bought another Kawai Q80, but I don't expect to receive it until next week. I'll post again when I install the drive and test it. Hopefully we can finally get to the bottom of this.

I went ahead and bought myself another Q80 and it works with the Quick Install file. I was able to successfully load and save files! I guess the other Q80 had an unseen/unknown hardware malfunction involving the disk controller? I give many thanks to Jean-François for helping me through e-mail communication. Hopefully I can use this for as long as the Q80 lasts or until someone out there can make a sequencer as good as the Q80! 8)

Long time no post! Here's a new dilemna, but this time it has to do with trying to browse files using the Hxc Floppy Emulator Software. When I load the disk image from my SD card and click "Disk Browser", I get the message "Null sized DOS image ! Invalid disk !" Why does this happen?

Problem solved! Formatting the SD Card within the Q80 made the HxC software recognize the files. Strange how I was able to save and load on a "unformatted" disk within the Q80 without any problems.

Hi Jeff. I`ve try but...
1. I can Format any files of you, but when I want to save a song on it, Q80 says: Disk unavailable
2. I've try to load directly from you files before nothing and there are not empty. The screen show messages like: (002) DR-550II / (003) Trash808 / (003) FJDance / (002) Abracad /(002) Sof Sand / (016) Bas-Rock. I can Load that files but...nothing to do with them.
3.May I post in FB forum with videos for somebody with my sequencer help my?
4. Could I change any switch from HxC Floppy Emulator (only number 1 is ON) ?

Thanks in advance

These files are not saved for me. There were into each file provide for you and... If I try to load, only works DR-550II (piano notes) and Trash808 (noise). If I try to load the other files, screen says: "disk unavailable". If I try to delete those files Q80 says : "deleted" but...they are still there...
But the problem is because I can not to save my own songs...

Any help?

Thanks again

Javier
