Really ? Nothing ? In this case send back the device to Lotharek...
If nothing is displayed on the lcd, the emulator is probably dead...

Please, send emulator back ASAP. If emul is not working i will refund postage and send other one

Of course, i had situation like that in past - problem was with USER FIRMWARE UPGRADE.

Did You try to upload firmware ?

i ask, because in our history of thousands of units, i never had warranty claim for last four years.

Please, check also :

- do you see anything on lcd display ? please rotate with potentiometer to righ to see letters / squares ?
- is lcd properly inserted ?

please, send some picture to lotharek@lotharek.pl

Did You try to upload firmware ?

yes i did.

is it something a user should not try?

the firmware update file was available, and also checked the notes in the file, but did not find any warning or anything like that.

as far as i know, updating firmware, os, apps, etc... is the most basic and essential procedure in trouble shooting modern day electronic equipments...

let people know if it is risky?

(not trying to point my finger here...) :)

tried that, and i see squares only. please check the video that will be sent.
- is lcd properly inserted ?
pulled it out and reinserted again, tried and still not working.
please, send some picture to lotharek@lotharek.pl
will send you videos shortly.

Is there anything else i can try here?

i am in usa, so sending it back and getting it back can take a month.

and that won't be very exciting...

Not risky if done correctly ;) Just let the update finish, the device should restart automatically at the end.

Retry the update process again. Let it finish and restart automatically.
Tell me if one led is blinking during the process.

If the device doesn't restart at the end of the update, tell me how blink the led (error code).

Even if you press the left & right push button before and after the power up?

i am one of those few people who actually read manuals and notes.

No, your problem is that you an Emax 1000, without the right OS disk.

I'm having the same problem as 80sboy. I'm getting to 73 percent and then I get the wrong software message. Can you send me the test images. I have a emax model 1000.

thanks,
Tom
