HxC install for SP1200- transfer to Mac -

Post by Space »

Hi Peeps,

newby here on the forum,I ordered a SD FB - HXC Rev F to replace the floppy drive in my SP1200 from lotharek.pl

I had a look at the instruction install video, should be no problem at all.
Now I could find only one youtube clip on how to dump stuff to the SP, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PpVMzKiAFg

I was wondering if any mac users had try and do this somehow....(?)
If I'd install the drive into the SP1200 I obvisouly need a start up disk, so I can get started on the SD Card.

I just read in this thread: http://www.torlus.com/floppy/forum/view ... =14&t=3125
that:

"The easy way is to unpack the SP1200 zip to the root of the sdcard.
https://hxc2001.com/download/floppy_driv ... Images.zip"

Do I basically just need to put SP1200 zip onto the SD card, and then I'm good to go ?

And

"After this all need to know is that each hfe file is a virtual floppy disk. Select one on the emulator and the sp1200 should be able to read/write it."

Once the SP1200 zip has been placed on the SD card, How would I make multiple files (virtual floppys so to speak) on the SD card. ?

Would be fantastic if I could send from my mac to the SD card offcourse, but even just by being able to boot up and then start sampling all over again would be good to.

Yes just unpack the sp1200 SDHxCFE_Emu_SP1200.zip to the root of the sdcard and you ready to go.

The zip is inside this archive :

Thanks Jeff,
I've installed the drive and placed the file on the SD card and it works like a charm :)
