Bought an SP-1200 in an estate sale. Missing the OS disk. Seller said the disk drive might be bad anyway.
I want to make my own OS disk to test the drive. I see there is an .hfe OS file here available, can I convert it back to the original format and put it on a 3.5 floppy using a PC?
Or will I have to buy the OS disk on Ebay for $15 ...Im in the UK so wanted to avoid that if possible...
I plan to install HxC on it (as I've already done on my EII) soon, but would just like to test the drive out first.
How is it done?
Can I make a 1.2 OS disk?
Re: Can I make a 1.2 OS disk?
Gave up and bought an OS disk.. easier and quicker.
Re: Can I make a 1.2 OS disk?
No, since the SP1200/EII format is 100% incompatible with the PC world. You need the SP1200 with an HxC to do this, or an additionnal hardware connected to the PC.Egg wrote: I want to make my own OS disk to test the drive.
