Hi guys,
I had luck with my Studio 440 and Prophet 2002, but somehow I cannot
get my REV F Emulator working with my SP1200
Doing the same thing as before, tried several SD cards, tried EMU-Shugart, used the images files
from the net (already HFE files), no luck Switches are on ID0.
Somehow it's stuck and the display is switching between "READING FAT" & (c)HxC and then stops !
Any help would be highly appreciated
Best,
Thomas
What am I doing wrong ?

All sdcard are doing the same thing ?knarzmaschine wrote: Somehow it's stuck and the display is switching between "READING FAT" & (c)HxC and then stops !
First thing to check : the power supply. Power supply failure are very common. Can you check the +5V voltage?
another thing to try : switch off the hxc sound.

Re: What am I doing wrong ?
I tried several different cards and all do the same.
+5V is at +4.67V, but that should be ok ?
Switched off the sound and it's the same.
The original Floppy does work and so does the SP.
Thanks,
Thomas

Can you try to plug the emulator on other computer/instrument (PC...) ?knarzmaschine wrote:I tried several different cards and all do the same.

Re: What am I doing wrong ?
Already put the one I had in the SP into my Prophet 2002 and works like a charm.
SD is formatted in FAT32 of course...for testing I used a 32MB and the HxC says
it's the wrong format. The emulators are fine.
I guess I make a very minor stupid mistake somewhere, but I don't know where.
My process:
- Formatting FAT32 on a PC
- copy the CFG file onto the SD first (AUTO or EMU Shugart, both same results)
- then copy the HFE files onto the card
Usually the SP asks INSERT DISKETTE, but with the emulator it says READING DISK.
But then just stops.
I will try to dump one of my own Floppies and see if they work.
The ones I used were from the net.
Update soon

Just download this and unzip the SP1200 zip on the sdcard :

What jumper settings did you use for the Studio 440? Mine won't format!
