Re: Amiga Floppy Manager freeze
Sorry for the pressure, is that I'm really kind of lost, tried everything and only the manager is not working.
My complete specs are:
- Amiga 600 NTSC - 110v - board junebug revision 2B
- 1Mb onboard + 1Mb RAM A601 (I tried remove it but did not affect HxC)
- Original PSU
- HD using CF-IDE adaptor with a 2Gb CF Sandisk Ultra III (tried remove it all, but again did not affect HxC)
My Amiga isn't using any expansion, it's a 68000 original CPU.
The curious is that all games and demos are working in HD using WHDLoad, and when using HxC choosing with the buttons, all floppy images are working too. It's weird only the floppy manager is not working.
Can you make some change in manager program ou give me a link with a previous or beta version of it? I will try everything...

Re: Amiga Floppy Manager freeze
Had some electronic component present in the board that can cause problems only in the manager? I can test some components if you tell me which could cause problems in the "direct access mode", if possible.
Re: Amiga Floppy Manager freeze
No this is not an hardware problem, but a compatibility problem.mauroxavier wrote:Had some electronic component present in the board that can cause problems only in the manager? I can test some components if you tell me which could cause problems in the "direct access mode", if possible.
i will send you some software to test.

Re: Amiga Floppy Manager freeze
Any predictions for releasing a new version of software?
I can test an alpha, beta or whatever comes

Re: Amiga Floppy Manager freeze
After a quick look, i think that your problem is a non-working index signal.
Please check if the index signal is ok.

Re: Amiga Floppy Manager freeze
Right, I test the signal from pin 8 and give me about 4.78V.
How can I test this index signal in the HxC floppy board?
Have some Amiga software that can test this? I can make a test with HxC and a real floppy drive, to see if the problem is in HxC or in the Amiga 600 board.

Re: Amiga Floppy Manager freeze
The problem is in the HxC, I put the emulator in a MSX1 machine, all DSK Games run, save and load files, but when I try to format the system give me a error:
Not Ready
Reading in some places, this is really a Index Signal problem.
How can I test or resolve this in HxC board?

Can you make a picture of the board (top & bottom) ?mauroxavier wrote:The problem is in the HxC, I put the emulator in a MSX1 machine, all DSK Games run, save and load files, but when I try to format the system give me a error:

Here are the photos:

Some important details:
- I bought this card used by the user "rubenscarrilho"
- The problem occurred as soon as I got it before I put extra pins (for buttons) or extend the LCD via floppy cable

Re: Amiga Floppy Manager freeze
what happen to this board ? there are a lot of oxydation and bad solder ...mauroxavier wrote:Here are the photos:

i also see a shortcut (pin 3-4 of the pic)
as far i can see your only option is to take the schematic ( https://hxc2001.com/floppy_drive_emulat ... or_Kit.zip ) and check all connections, expectaly around floppy signals.

Re: Amiga Floppy Manager freeze
I do not know. When I got the board also found that the state was not good.
In fact what seems to oxidation in the picture is some kind of rubber that is on pins, I do not know why. It seems those rubbers used in preschool.
I will try clean using isopropyl alcohol and give a look to connections and pins.
The bad soldering of the pins on the front panel are my own, I'm not good at it.
Thanks for the tips, going to work now.
I will report you about the results.

Re: Amiga Floppy Manager freeze
Apparently the SMD components are in good condition.
Tomorrow I will replace the 74LS38 to see if it gives any difference.

Hello
Sorry for the delay in responding, but 7438 was hard to find in my area.
I changed the 7438 but unfortunately did not solve the problem. I cleaned the board and tested all the connections, apparently everything is exactly as the diagram shows.
Below are two pictures of how the current state of the board:

I will be grateful if you have any idea about it so you can help me.

Can you try the emulator on another hardware (PC ...) ?mauroxavier wrote:Hello
