Help with embroidery machine

Post by eduardo »

This is my first post so hi everybody, I need help with my BAS 416 embroidery machine, I succesfully flashed the HXC firmware to a GOTEK usb emulator with 2 digit 7 segment screen to replace the original FDD Teac FD-235HF-7579, but I haven't been avil to make it work with my embroidery machine, I try JEFF instrution in other tread about the same machine creating the HFE file but the machine only shows READYING on the LCD screen, I'm attaching the recomendation below and the HFE file I'm made following the instruction below,

Hey, You made it!!!
Image from todays morning FDD2_DD_HD.hfe is working!!!!
I have conected emulator to PC, inserted few more embroideries to image for control and this modified images is working (include new inserted files) !
Thank You so much :o) With what setting did You force it work? :o)

Could I have one last question? How I could re-edit images without present emulator in PC? (for example - if I want to ad one file to "old" image).

Thank You - for some time I do not belived that it will be OK...

So the HD state line is inverted on this machine...
To change the line state :
-> Start the HxC Floppy Emulator software.
-> Settings -> "HFE file interface mode" -> uncheck auto -> set "IBM PC 720kB"
-> After use the "Create FS Floppy" with the "3"5 1.44MB DSHD FAT12" format.
-> Export the HFE file.

I try all config normal, indexed, autoboot making no diference, the internal parameters are set to default

The firmware I use is latest HXCFEUSB_V3_1_23_1a

Any help will be apreciated

Thank you

Thank you Jeff

When the machine is turned on the GOTEK shows Hc on the screen no USB inserted the led is off, after inserting the USB with the index configuration and the HFE file the screen on the GOTEK change to 00 the led is off, after pressing the read botton in the embroidery machine the led lit for one or two seconds and then off the screen on GOTEK still 00 no error signal on the machine or the machine LCD screen, after 2 or 3 min the machine LCD shoes error signal.

Try the "Not_Gated_Firmware" firmware :

I flash the GOTEK with the no gated firmware HXCFEUSB_V3_1_30_2a_NG.UPD, but now the machine LCD screen shows error as soon as I hit the read botton on the panel control, I try no the junper, jumper on S0 and jumper on s1 same result error and error sound on the machine.

Ok then use the normal firmware, set the S1 jumper. Enter the internal menu ( see https://hxc2001.com/docs/gotek-floppy-e ... gotek_menu - Original 7 Segments Gotek Menu) and try the interface mode IBM PC DD, IBM PC HD, GENERIC SHUGART DD, S950 DD and S950 HD.

Jeff, I try the normal firmaware, jumper to s1 and all the interface mode IBM PC DD, IBM PC HD, GENERIC SHUGART DD, S950 DD and S950 HD bun non of them make any difference, I can see the led lit for one second then off and the machine panel control shows READYING only, but I can´t see the DST files to save into the machine memory to do the embroidery.

Any other ideas,

Maybe the HFE file I´m creating is not correct

This below is what you post to someone else for this especific machine,

I have a similar machine which reads and writes to the hfe files contained in the attachment, but once written a program can't be modified on the machine and writing is limited to only one pattern per hfe file which is very inconvenient.

Is this limitation "normal" or it is an issue with the floppy emulation ?

Actually by similar machine I meant a bas 403.
This limitation is of course "abnormal". But that's the best i could get, by using the profile AKAI950.
I have sent you the disk dump by email.
