Basic help and understanding

Post by deefadog »

Hi all,

Just looking for a little basic help (just need to get my head around this :))

So I purchased a Gotek drive for my Amiga 1200, installed with a custom bracket, all is good.

Now this came pre flashed with firmware (No idea if it's up to date or not).

I have downloaded the selector.sdf file and the SDCard_HxC_Floppy_Emulator_Manager and added the files to n USB stick, games in a folder.

All works well, but i am not sure if i have the most up to date software, or if there is anything better?

As in the pic below, it says my firmware is out of date, which i have found the instructions for this, no worries there, but wanted to check if what i have done is correct before i start updating things :)

Or if i need to go down a different path for a better user experience.

Thanks in advance for any help

I am sorry to say that you have a counterfeit firmware...

To get the right and true HxC firmware, please get a license :

https://hxc2001.com/store/index.html

Once done, i will send you something by email to install the HxC firmware (no serial/usb cable needed !)
