Dynacord Add-One & Add-Drive with HXC
Dynacord Add-One & Add-Drive with HXC
Just installed the Lotharek emulator in my Dynacord Add-Drive that goes with my Add-One. Seems to work, and is recognized but when I load .hfe images of Dynacord Add-One programs that I placed on the SD card and try and load them, I get a progress indicator followed by "Not Add-One format". Anybody have any tips for what I might be doing wrong?
Re: Dynacord Add-One & Add-Drive with HXC
Jumper setting, floppy ribbon connection, bad hfe file image, bad interface mode...
Hard to say without seeing what you have done.
Please at least post a picture of the hxc lcd.

Did you search on the drive name and number? Here is all data needed to get it working in the right hands:
(I think the add-drive formats to 820 kb. The drives name is Panasonic Ju-363)
Many have been asking for HXC for Dynacord Add-Drive.
Here http://floppy.shugart.free.fr/docs/pana ... ju-363.pdf
and even better http://www.ti99.com/exelvision/website/ ... 23-363.pdf
Let me know if you have progress as im about to do the same,
or any help from the moderator?
as I'm not into this type of stuff at all.
Two .img Addrive floppy images here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/g48zi3c3h1lej ... s.zip?dl=0 (i did not make them, my pc's floppy drive seems not to have the right alignment to read them, but apparently people use them).
I hope this is whats needed to make a driver file for the HxC. I have one and would like to get it woring in the Dynacord Add-drive like many others it seems.
Just for the record: I tried with these drives in the adddrive: Emu, PC ibm, Datadisk alesis and Atari st. The Addone said 'no disk in drive'.

Re: Dynacord Add-One & Add-Drive with HXC
I'm not really as far as the guy who started the tread so it would be better if he answered.
But so far I get 'no disk in drive' in the add-one window when trying to format (same result with as with the floppy drive types i have tried with earlier (emu and pc) in the Add-Drive.
The HxC makes a row of blocks in line one, and nothing else, but I'm not the right guy to answer this question since I barely just have gotten the HXC and have not read anything about it yet and not done any sttings or anything yet. I'm sure i'm not doing things right regarding the HXC.
KazRemark can you please give the info needed?

Re: Dynacord Add-One & Add-Drive with HXC
Connect it like the floppy drive, with the switch ID0-A (1) to ON.
Take some EPS ensoniq images + the cfg file from this zip:
https://hxc2001.com/download/floppy_driv ... Images.zip
copy them to one sdcard.
Insert it into the emulator. Try to format one EPS image with the Dynacord : check that it try to access the drive.
If yes and if the format is successful you have a working Dynacord image.
Re: Dynacord Add-One & Add-Drive with HXC
Just rediscovered this thread, forgot that I had posted here. I did get the emulator working with the Add-One, i am able to load and save files and can format disks. I was never able to load any of the disk images that I found online, but as long as I sample in the unit I can load and save those files just find.

Interesting. Could you share some of your working HFE file ?KazRemark wrote: ↑Sat Mar 17, 2018 8:25 amJust rediscovered this thread, forgot that I had posted here. Re: Dynacord Add-One & Add-Drive with HXC
Sure, here's one I just made. Recorded 8 samples and built a super simple little kit using them which is saved in slot 001:

The low level format/layout is quite interesting and very specific to this machine.
Can you point me some of these online images you can't make work ?

Here's a link with a few disk images that aren't working on my end:

Re: Dynacord Add-One & Add-Drive with HXC
When I try and load these images, the Add-One tells me "Disk not Add-One format".

Yes, now they seem to load, thanks! What was the problem?
