Hello,
I purchased the Rev F back in 2014 for my Emax and have only now gotten around to installing it and I'm experiencing a few issues.
I believe the jumpers/cabling is correct as the Emax recognizes the HXC and will load disks, but it skips samples. I've tried the sample .hfe's 'mixed chorus' etc. and I still have this problem.
The unit I have has the SE stickers attached to the front, so it appears it to be the SE however when I received it, it displayed os boot disk required. Maybe the SE os wasn't installed properly? I don't have access to a desktop computer with a floppy drive to write an seup disk, so hopefully this isn't the problem!
I've tried SE os 1.1 and 4.0, as well as the regular emaxos.emx
I think I have followed the correct formatting procedure...
Any thoughts?
Thanks!
Emax loads disk but not all samples

Did you a have a particular error message at the Emax ?

Re: Emax loads disk but not all samples
Thanks for the prompt reply!
I tried updating firmware, no changes.
The SD card is a Kingston SD HC 32gb.
No error message is displayed. When loading a bank the Emulator will make it's tapping sound as it counts up and then beep and skip a bunch of numbers before continuing to count and stops at 73/80. At this point I can then choose from samples 1-17 and 98-99 for example.

Re: Emax loads disk but not all samples
I am not sure what is going on, but regarding your description it seems that there is something wrong with the SD.
I recommend you to try another sdcard model (Sandisk Class 10 recommended).

Ok will do. Thanks for the recommendation.
Re: Emax loads disk but not all samples
Unable to obtain a Sandisk card where am I at the moment. I've tried a nexxtech 16gb Class 10 with the same results.
Maybe it is a jumper issue?
It should be one of these two settings? Both produce the same results:
I'm not sure if technically the cable is 'twisted'. It does have a fold in it... ID03A on as in the first photo is correct for twisted cable?
I'm using OSX, but the SD card is formatted FAT32.
Thanks!

Re: Emax loads disk but not all samples
Your ribbon is not twisted, so the right setting is ID0-A (1).
Re: Emax loads disk but not all samples
OK cheers.
Will hopefully have a Sandisk C10 to test this friday.
Thanks Jeff!
